Must be used for Induction

  • If you are new, or unsure of what to do, make yourself known to the most senior club member in the area whom will help you and possibly assign a mentor to you. You MUST NOT pick up or use any archery equipment until given the go ahead for your and everyone else’s safety.
  • Everyone must sign into the register book before shooting.
  • Always follow the instructions given by the most senior club member in the area.
  • Never point a bow and arrow at another person even when the bow does not have an arrow nocked.
  • Never nock an arrow until ready to shoot at the appropriate shooting peg or line.
  • Arrows must be pointed downrange at all times.
  • Only shoot arrows towards a designated target. In particular; never shoot an arrow straight up into the air.
  • Never shoot an arrow until you are 100% positive that no one is in front of you (or behind the targets). If in doubt then do not shoot.
  • If you are looking for a lost arrow behind a target, always leave your bow leaning against the target face so that it will be seen by other archers. If possible, have someone stand in front of the target to prevent anyone from shooting.
  • Only shoot at the specified targets.
  • Report any accident, injury, near miss or hazard to the most senior club member in the area. These must also be recorded in the Accident Register.
  • No broadheads to be used at the club without permission of the committee.
  • You must Keep your equipment well maintained.
  • Anyone shooting on a non-club day does so at their own risk and must abide by all rules above.
